Democratic presidential contender Andrew Yang told his supporters in jest that they should make people caucus for him either willingly or unwillingly.
“I was going to make another joke,” the tech entrepreneur said Monday before he quipped about knocking people unconscious at Iowa caucus stations and forcing them to vote for him.
“Like every unwilling person knocked unconscious, then take their body and drag them over to the Andrew Yang part. And then you prop them up and make them seem like they’re conscious,” he told his supporters.
While the candidate attempted to hold back laughter at his own joke, his wife, Evelyn Yang, told him, “Contain yourself.”

The New York native has driven his long-shot presidential campaign in part because of his authenticity on the campaign trail. In December, Yang went viral after an awkward moment was caught on camera in which he shot whipping cream in supporters’ mouths as his campaign manager tried to stop him.
Yang, 45, is currently polling in the low single digits both nationally and in Iowa. Candidates in the Iowa caucus need at least 15% to win any of the Democratic delegates up for grabs.
