No new date for first Clinton, Obama campaign event

Hashing out schedules is the only the factor preventing President Obama and presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton from appearing together at a campaign event, a White House spokesman said on Wednesday.

“It’s just a matter of trying to make their two schedules work,” press secretary Josh Earnest said about the delay.

Obama was set to appear with Clinton in Green Bay, Wis., June 15 to highlight his endorsement of her to succeed him, but the event was canceled after the terrorist massacre in Orlando, Fla.

When asked if it would happen next week, Earnest said he couldn’t promise that.
