First lady Melania Trump’s motherly instincts kicked in when a boy accidentally spilled a glass of water in a listening session with young school-aged children in the White House.
After presenting at the whiteboard in front of the room, which included the first lady and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, a boy knocked over a glass of water and let out an audible gasp and an anxious “oof.”
Melania quickly put her hand on the boy’s shoulder and assured him that his accident was not an issue.
“No problem. Don’t worry. It’s just water, OK?” the first lady said as she comforted the boy who quickly scurried back into the crowd. “No worry at all. It happens.”

The exchange happened during a education listening session where the first lady discussed with the students about how they can achieve success and make a more positive learning environment.
