Charlize Theron will star as Megyn Kelly in a new film depicting the life of disgraced former Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.
Theron will portray Kelly, who started at the network as a contributor and ended her more-than-a-decade-long career there as the host of her own show, “The Kelly File,” according to the Hollywood Reporter Monday.
The movie, which Theron will produce, will reportedly focus on Ailes, who helped anchors such as Kelly, Sean Hannity, and Gretchen Carlson become household names.
Ailes, who was influential in Republican Party circles as head of the conservative-leaning network, reportedly also helped former Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush while they ran for office.
Ailes resigned from Fox in July 2016 following a flood of allegations charging sexual misconduct from accusers like Kelly and Carlson.
Other characters who will likely be included in the film are Carlson, former host Greta Van Susteren, Rupert Murdoch, and ousted anchor Bill O’Reilly, per the Hollywood Reporter.
Ailes died in May 2017, just three days after his 77th birthday, from complications related to a head injury.
