The Washington Examiner’s Sarah Westwood explained that “the inmates are sort of running the asylum right now” in the Democratic Party on Fox Business’s Cavuto: Coast to Coast on Monday.
In response to Hillary Clinton’s warning to fellow Democrats not to be sidetracked by “activist causes,” Westwood explained, “The progressive wing of the party doesn’t want to be told that.”

These activist groups believe their issues should be top priorities, she added.
This split within the Democratic Party has caused a derailment because “so much of the party is beholden to the leftist wings of the party.”
“The world in which Hillary Clinton would’ve been successful” doesn’t exist anymore, Westwood said.
She added that Clinton and President Joe Biden represent the “old guard” of the party.

Westwood predicted there is no longer room for an anti-abortion Democrat within the party as it continues to careen further left.
