An uptick of coronavirus cases in the U.S. Capitol has escalated a debate over mandatory testing for lawmakers.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy this week called on Speaker Nancy Pelosi to take up President Trump’s offer to deliver rapid testing kits to the Capitol in order to test staff and lawmakers, who arrive each week from every part of the country.
