Officials lifted the lockdown put in place at a U.S. Army post in Huntsville, Alabama, earlier Tuesday for a possible active shooter.
Christopher Colster, spokesman for Redstone Arsenal, said no one was in custody and said gates at the Army post were reopened, but asked for “prayers for those involved in this situation,” according to Al.com.
The Sparkman Center remained on lockdown.
Redstone Arsenal originally said the installation was on lockdown Tuesday morning.
“Possible active shooter on the Arsenal. Installation is locked down. Run hide fight,” Redstone Arsenal posted on its Twitter account.
Rep. Robert Aderholt, R-Ala., said he and his staff are monitoring the situation.
“My staff and I are monitoring situation at Redstone Arsenal. Please join me in praying for the safety of everyone on base,” he said on his Twitter account.

An active shooter drill was planned for Wednesday at Redstone Arsenal, but officials said the situation isn’t part of the drill.
The Marshall Space Flight Center said in an alert sent at 10 am that a “situation exists” at Redstone Arsenal and asked people to avoid the area.
Redstone served as a chemical weapons manufacturing facility during World War II and is currently a missile testing and development site.
