DALLAS (AP) — Two personal watercrafts collided on a North Texas lake, fatally injuring one of their operators.
The crash happened about 5 p.m. Monday on Joe Pool Lake in southern Grand Prairie, a western Dallas suburb. A Grand Prairie police statement said 42-year-old Wayne Story of Irving was injured severely. He died a short time later at Methodist Mansfield hospital. A female passenger on Story’s watercraft and the couple aboard the other were not injured.
Police say alcohol isn’t suspected as a factor. However, an investigation led by a game warden of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department continues.
