Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said Friday that FBI Director Jim Comey did the right thing by reopening his investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
“I’m for him doing his job and for him having a result that’s consistent with what he finds in the evidence,” Conway said.
“I appreciate the fact that given the information he had he decided to go forward with it,” she said on MSNBC. “He should come forward when he has information like that and not let 11 days until the election get in his way.”
She also said Clinton’s victory part might be spoiled by the FBI’s announcement.
“I realize it’s a tough day for those who have taken the champagne bottles off the shelf and uncorked them,” Conway said. “Mr. Trump will take his case directly to the voters, and I’m sure secretary Clinton will ignore this issue as she does so many others.”
