Can’t get enough of Mayor Vincent Gray? Well, your Gray-less hours are over — now D.C. residents (and anyone with an Internet connection) can get all Gray, all the time on the mayor’s new YouTube channel that launched Wednesday.
Want to watch the mayor get a surprise birthday cake? So did 24 other people so far — one of the more popular videos on the website (we’re sure the soothing tones of Grammy nominee Raheem DeVaughn singing happy birthday to the mayor had nothing to do with that…). You can also catch some of the mayor’s latest appearances: a tour inside One City preparing One Youth, the launch of Turkey Bowl with D.C. Public Schools students and the press conference announcing the website www.statehooddc.com for D.C. statehood.
Snarkiness aside, the mayor’s recent every-other-week press conference with the media is also posted and we’re assuming today’s and future ones will be posted as well. So it’s good to see some unfiltered material is being shared with residents along with the feel-good stuff.
