Man arrested and charged with window peeping

Baltimore County police Wednesday arrested and charged a Towson man they said is responsible for peeping in the windows of at least six ground-floor apartments since last November.

Clinton Gardner, 38, of the 1500 block of Putty Hill Avenue in Hampton, targeted apartments in the student-populated Kenilworth at Charles Apartments and the Cromwell Valley Apartment complex, police said. After undercover detectives spotted him walking along Charles View Way in the Kenilworth Apartments early last Wednesday, Gardner admitted to police he peeped into and exposed himself to women in the apartments over the last year.

The arrest occurred at 6:30 a.m., around the same time as each incident. As detectives approached, they realized Gardner matched the clothing description ? collared shirt, khaki pants or blue jeans, brown shoes and a navy blue jacket ? given in previous reports. The suspect also resembled a sketch provided to police by a previous witness, police said.

Police charged Gardner with six counts of peeping Tom and two counts of indecent exposure. He posted a $15,000 bond and his court date is pending.

Police are continuing their investigation into other possible incidents and are asking anyone with information to call 410-307-2020.
