ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Police have arrested a man for stealing the handles and pipes from toilets in various parks and restaurant restrooms around one Florida city.

St. Petersburg Police said Friday that they arrested a 28-year-old homeless man for stealing the plumbing from various restaurants, including Cracker Barrel, Burger King and Bob Evans. Police released a photo of a pile of metal toilet parts.

Police said Brian Rinda caused about $1,000.00 in damage and traded the brass valve and piping at a county recycling center.

Rinda was charged with 8 counts grand theft and 1 count petit theft. Authorities are also looking into more possible cases in the county.

Rinda is being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $20,000 bail. It’s unclear whether he retained an attorney.
