D.C. looks for Georgetown robbers

D.C. police are looking for three men who robbed a Georgetown convenience store at gunpoint on New Year’s Day.

Three men entered the Griffin Market, 1400 block of 28th Street NW,at about 11 a.m. Monday and demanded money from the cashier. One of the men produced a handgun, and after they received the cash, they ran out of the store.

The first suspect is described as a light-complexioned black male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a black jacket, a black mask and a black shirt with white lettering. The second suspect is described as a light-complexioned black male, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a medium build and facial hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt.

The third suspect is described as a light-complexioned black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black jacket.

Anyone with information can call police at 202-727-9099. The department offers a $10,000 reward to anyone who provides information

that leads to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia. ­
