Marshals arrest missing murder suspect
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a man Friday who had been charged Wednesday with a 2006 drug-related homicide in Manassas. Jarrell Scott, 22, was being held without bond on a murder charge pending a May 2 court date, Prince William County police said Friday. Scott and two others were charged with the shooting of Rodolfo Reyes Hernandez, 24, who was killed March 15, said Officer Erika Hernandez, a police spokeswoman. – Dan Genz
Woman found dead on K Street Northwest
D.C. police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in the 400 block of K Street NW, early Friday morning. Police responded to a call at about 5:15 a.m. of an unconscious female on the ground. D.C. fire department emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but could find no signs consistent with life. Police said there were no outward signs of foul play. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. – Scott McCabe
Adult male fatally shot in Prince George’s County
An adult male was shot and killed during a confrontation with security guards at an apartment complex on the 1000 block of Marcy Avenue Friday morning. Police said that two security guards at the apartment complex confronted two men armed with guns. When the men pointed their weapons at the guards, a guard shot one and the other fled the scene. The victim was Dominique Emanuel McFadden, who lived on the 800 block of Marcy, according to police. Police found McFadden on the scene at around 9:10 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Police are still investigating the case. – Melissa Frederick
Vandalism reported in Prince William County
Police are investigating an incident of vandalism at the Ridgewood Professional Center in Dale City, which took place sometime last week. Graffiti was sprayed on the walls of the center, as well as on electrical boxes and several county vehicles. A number of larcenies and vandalism have occurred on county property this year, according to police, including the theft of hubcaps and GPS devices and other incidents of graffiti. – Melissa Frederick
