BEST MODE OF TRANSPORTATION:
My car.
 
BEST OUT-OF-TOWN RETREAT:
Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
 
BEST INSIDE-THE-BELTWAY RETREAT:
The National Arboretum.

FAVORITE MUSEUM:
The Freer Gallery of Art (Jefferson Drive and 12th Street SW) and the Sackler Gallery (1050 Independence Ave. SW).

FAVORITE LOCAL SPORTS EVENT:
Whenever the Steelers are in town.

BEST PLACE FOR LIVE MUSIC:
I’m kind of old, I go to the Kennedy Center to see opera.


BEST PLACE FOR OUT-OF-TOWN VISITORS: 
The Kreeger Museum (2401 Foxhall Road NW). It’s just spectacular and it’s sort of like a secret.
 
FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND A LAZY SUNDAY:
Just hanging out with my family, reading the paper, walking around Georgetown.

MOST ROMANTIC SPOT: Monuments after dark are kind of nice. But they’re not really that romantic. I don’t know, pass.

Old Ebbitt Grill.
 
BEST PLACE FOR LATE-NIGHT EATS:
I don’t do late-night eats. My house.
 
PROUDEST PART OF LIVING IN THE NATION’S CAPITAL: The proudest part, that we finally have a cool president and a cool mayor.
