A pack of elephants — yes, elephants — will take a stroll through the District at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The annual Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circus is back in town. To mark the occasion, the animals will lead a parade of clowns, horses, donkeys, motorcycles and even a watusi, a very large horned African cattle, according to NBC Washington.
The cadre will make its way to the Verizon Center from Garfield Park in Southeast Washington. Stake out near Third Street and Independence Avenue to watch the parade pass by the U.S. Capitol. In previous years, they’ve stopped to take a picture.
If you can’t make it, you can follow the walk on Twitter @DCElephantWalk. The circus will be in D.C. from Thursday through Sunday.
