Kendrick Lamar takes shots at Fox News in new album

Four tracks on rapper Kendrick Lamar’s new album, “Damn,” which was released on Thursday, take aim at Fox News.

The first two tracks feature audio recordings of Fox News reporters, one of which is Fox News regular Geraldo Rivera.

“This is why I say that hip-hop has done more damage to young African Americans than racism in recent years,” Rivera said in an audio sample played on Lamar’s song “DNA.”

Rivera’s comments were made last year following Lamar’s Grammy performance.

Rivera fired back on Friday, saying in a video that hip-hop is “the worst role model.” He did, however, also compliment Lamar, calling him a “great” rapper.

On Lamar’s third song “YAH” he calls out Rivera by name. Rapping: “Fox news wanna use my name for percentage… Somebody tell Geraldo this n***a got some ambition.”

Lamar’s album mentions the network one more time on a later track titled “XXX. FEAT. U2.”

“You overnight the big rifles then tell Fox to be scared of us,” Lamar says.

The album also features a variety of politically fueled verses with mentions of President Trump, the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality.
