POMONA, Calif. (AP) — Pomona police have arrested a man suspected of stealing $10,000 worth of copper wire from a school.
City News Service reports Michael Echenique was observed several times on surveillance video on the grounds of Fremont Academy before being caught there Monday evening.
Police Lt. Alex Rilloraza says the 32-year-old was seen dismantling light fixtures and stripping their interior wiring harnesses.
The Pomona resident was booked for felony grand theft and misdemeanor possession of burglary tools.
