Bishop Jackson enters race to replace Webb

Another Republican candidate has entered the race to replace U.S. Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va.

Bishop E.W. Jackson, a Tea Party leader from Chesapeake, told radio talk show host Steve Batton that he has filed paperwork to run for the Senate seat in 2012, according to the Daily Press.

Bishop joins three other Republican candidates in the primary race. Former Gov. George Allen, Tea Party leader Jamie Radtke, and Virginia Beach lawyer David McCormick have already announced their intentions to run.

Former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine announced Tuesday that he’ll run for the Democratic nomination.
