Hillary Clinton accused Republicans of attempting to “demonize” Muslims after the San Bernardino, Calif., terror attacks earlier this month.
Clinton took aim at Republican frontrunner Donald Trump for his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the country on a temporary basis.
“He is becoming ISIS’ best recruiter,” she said Saturday during the Democratic debate in New Hampshire.
Clinton said the Islamic State shows videos of Trump to potential recruits. It was not clear if Clinton has evidence that the Islamic State has done so.
Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders echoed each other’s’ suggestions to tap Kurdish and Sunni Arab forces to combat the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq instead of sending U.S. troops to the region.
The three Democratic candidates faced a number of questions about terror at the first debate since two Islamic State-linked terrorists killed 14 people in California.
