NEW YORK — The 2028 Democratic presidential primary unofficially began during the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network convention, where 10 people who could launch a bid for the country’s highest office spoke to the crowd.

Many of them claimed they were mainly focused on this year’s midterm elections and would decide on a presidential campaign in the future. But others, such as former Vice President Kamala Harris, admitted they were seriously contemplating a White House run.
