House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she will still have political “influence” after she retires, highlighting that she has “plans” and alluding to possible endorsements in the 2028 presidential election

Pelosi, who became the first woman speaker of the House, announced in November she would not seek reelection after her term ends in January 2027. Pelosi discussed the power she had through the speakership, and while she’ll no longer have it after leaving office, she’ll remain active in politics.
