Break out your Hebrew-English dictionary. The eighth-grade class from Krieger Schechter Middle School will perform the Broadway musical “Grease” entirely in Hebrew.
“The musical is the culmination of the students? nine years studying Hebrew,” musical director Erika Schon said. “This is their crowning achievement ? to put on a full Broadway production using their Hebrew skills in an a exciting way.”
“This very intense experience brings the entire eighth-grade class together as a team with each student contributing in his or her own way to the success of the show,” said Dr. Paul Schneider, headmaster of Krieger Schechter Day School.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Krieger Auditorium, located at 8100 Stevenson Road in Pikesville.
