Prince Harry and Meghan deliver meals to LA residents in need

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, quietly delivered meals to Los Angeles residents in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple recently relocated to California after stepping down from their royal roles in the United Kingdom.

Harry and Meghan volunteered through Project Angel Food, a nonprofit organization that delivers meals to chronically ill people, according to CNN.

The two wore N95 masks and gloves while delivering meals and other food items to 20 of the charity’s clients last week, Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub said.

Ayoub said the charity’s drivers had been overwhelmed by the increase in deliveries during the pandemic. He said Harry and Meghan stepped in on Easter Sunday and another day to help the overwhelmed drivers.

Ayoub said one of the clients told him they didn’t recognize the couple because “they were dressed so casually.”

“That’s not how you expect to see them,” Ayoub said. “You don’t expect to see them at your door.”
