The Anne Arundel County Health Department will hold a walk-in immunization clinic from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Glen Burnie Health Center, 416 A St. SW, Glen Burnie.
All students in grades six through nine must be vaccinated for chickenpox and hepatitis B to avoid being withdrawn from school. More than 900 Anne Arundel County students showed up for classes Tuesday without the vaccinations. The shots are free but a $10 donation for school vaccinations is appreciated.
The health center will also offer free flu shots during the same walk-in hours. A $20 donation for the flu shot will be accepted. For information, call 410-222-4896.
