Trump asks how LeBron James would compete as a transgender woman

Former President Donald Trump asked his supporters what would happen to the popularity of LeBron James if the National Basketball Association’s biggest star transitioned from male to female.

Speaking at the “Protect Our Elections” rally in Arizona, Trump questioned what would happen to the “greatness” of James if he transitioned and took the court in the Women’s National Basketball Association.

“Somebody said that if LeBron James ever decided to get the operation, how would he be on the court,” Trump said Saturday.

The Lakers star would excel in competition against his WNBA peers, Trump said.

“I’ll be honest, though. Look, we all like to win,” he said. “If I were a coach, I tell you, I wouldn’t be talking to too many women as we know women — I’d be getting some of these people that … they’re women.”

Trump has feuded with the four-time NBA champion in the past and took the opportunity to blame him for the league’s poor ratings.

“Did you see the basketball ratings, which were terrible — but went up after his team was defeated?” he asked.
