Trump adds ‘rape’ to claims against Bill Clinton

Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump heaped “rape” allegations on former President Bill Clinton, the husband of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, during a Wednesday interview on Fox News.

Host Sean Hannity had asked Trump about the New York Times’ claims he had harassed women.

“For example, I looked at The New York Times. Are they going to interview Juanita Broderick? Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey?” Hannity said, referring to women who have claimed the former president assaulted or harassed them.

“In one case, it’s about exposure. In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will,” Hannity said.

The New York businessman chimed in with another allegation against Bill Clinton.

“And rape,” Trump responded.

The comments, though minimal in length, were the harshest attacks the New York businessman has leveled against the Clintons since entering the race last June.

Trump’s focus on Bill Clinton’s past comes as he prepares to duke it out against the Hillary Clinton in the November election. The GOP politician had said he would not fight “dirty” in his ads against Clinton unless she started the fight.

Hillary Clinton has focused campaigning on women’s issues, which Trump has repeatedly called ironic because of her husband’s alleged affairs and abuse of women.

The real estate mogul is not waiting until he wins the nomination in July before unleashing attacks on an embattled Clinton, who is awaiting the findings of an FBI investigation into her use of a private email server while part of the Obama administration.
