The contents of a ransom note sent to an Arizona television station claim that Nancy Guthrie died shortly after she was abducted. The note was sent in February, shortly after Guthrie disappeared, and claimed that she died soon after her abduction. Guthrie, 84, is the mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie. She was last seen on Jan. 31 after spending time with her family. She was reported missing on Feb. 1 after not attending church.
Sources familiar with the Guthrie investigation reportedly said that her death was accidental, not the intention of the kidnappers, and apologized for her death. The note also claimed that Guthrie was “buried with nature now,” according to reports.
