St. Patty’s partying? Call a sober ride

Free cabs will be offered to St. Patrick’s Day celebrants from 4 p.m. March 17 through 4 p.m. March 18 courtesy of a local nonprofit.

The Washington Regional Alcohol Program is sponsoring the cab rides worth up to $30 in an effort to prevent drunk driving. Last year, more than 500 St. Patrick’s Day celebrants took advantage of the cabs, which provide service in Washington, Northern Virginia, and in Maryland, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
