Assistant Prince William Co. prosecutor arrested on DUI, drug charges

An assistant prosecutor in Prince William County has been arrested on charges of drunken driving, Fairfax County police said.

Douglas Bradley Marshall was pulled over when he was driving eastbound on Interstate 66 near Route 29 shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, said Officer Tawny Wright, a Fairfax police spokeswoman.

The officer suspected that Marshall might be drunk and found alcohol and pills in the vehicle, Wright said.

Marshall, 32, of Haymarket, has been charged with driving while intoxicated, drug possession, having an open container of alcohol and refusing to take a sobriety test.

The Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office could not immediately be reached for comment Friday.
