Protesters outside a party held by alt-right supporters of President-elect Trump burned copies of the Washington Examiner’s magazine in the street.
Photos and video from the protest outside the National Press Club showed copies of the magazine charred and in flames on the street. It’s unknown if protesters specifically targeted the Washington Examiner or if they were simply burning whatever was close at hand.
The Washington Examiner is distributed in newspaper boxes scattered throughout Washington, D.C.
A young boy who was burning the Washington Examiner magazine said he was doing it because “screw our president.”

“I felt like it and because I’m just saying screw our president,” said the boy, who said his name was Connor.
