Megyn Kelly criticized a video that showed protesters surrounding a California police officer and yelling graphic slurs while the officer remained stone-faced.
“This is so wrong,” the former Fox News host wrote while retweeting the viral footage on Friday. “Hurled racial slurs at a Black officer too. Police do not deserve this.”

“Are you holding it together?” taunted one protester to the police officer before another person blew smoke in his face. “Get the cameras on his ass right f—ing now,” another yelled.
A separate video of the incident shared by a California law enforcement page showed protesters screaming racial slurs at a black police officer.
Law enforcement across the United States have been criticized during monthslong protests after the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Rayshard Brooks, each of whom died during exchanges with police officers. The incidents have led to calls for police departments to be defunded.
