TULLY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say the dog control officer for a central New York town has been charged with animal cruelty after more than 200 dogs and cats were found living in filthy conditions on her property.
Local media report that Pompey (PAHM’-pee) dog control officer Susan Snavlin was charged Monday after animal welfare workers removed more than 70 dogs and cats from her property in the nearby town of Tully, just south of Syracuse.
