Ivanka Trump condemns media’s ‘near total silence’ on violence seen against Trump supporters in DC

Ivanka Trump slammed the media for not widely reporting on the violence seen in Washington, D.C., this weekend against supporters of President Trump.

“The media’s near total silence about the physical violence being perpetrated against conservatives is shameful & dangerous. Just image [sic] the outrage and indignation if this went the other way,” the first daughter tweeted.

“Violence is never the answer and instigators must be condemned and prosecuted,” she concluded.

Videos of suspected Black Lives Matter and antifa supporters attacking Trump supporters went viral this weekend after thousands converged on Washington, D.C., in support of the president and his legal battles concerning the election.

Others echoed Ivanka Trump, including her brother, Donald Trump Jr.

“The media’s silence on the violence against Trump supporters is deafening. After four years of calling them Nazis, at this point they might as well just dox them all or add the AOC’s lists for the Gulags,” he tweeted. “They are complicit in the violence. They are the worst of the worst.”

Others also erupted on Twitter this weekend asking why President-elect Joe Biden hadn’t condemned the violence, considering his vow to unify the country.

“When is Joe Biden, Mr. Unity, going to condemn this violence,” Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley tweeted in response to a video of antifa and Black Lives Matter counterprotesters attacking Trump supporters.
