House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi argued Thursday possible legislation banning “bump stocks” would be welcome, but it shouldn’t mean legislation tightening background checks for gun purchases shouldn’t be considered.

Pelosi, D-Calif., doesn’t want the momentum for gun control legislation in the wake of the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday to stop with a single bill.
