The Baltimore County Department of Aging will present the Alzheimer?s disease Safe Return program for families of Alzheimer?s patients in an effort to help reduce instances of wandering.
According to the Alzheimer?s Association Web site, Safe Return “is a nationwide identification, support and enrollment program that provides assistance when a person with Alzheimer?s or a related dementia wanders and becomes lost locally or far from home.”
The programs begin Feb. 1 and run through Feb. 23 at 19 senior centers across Baltimore County. Call the county?s Department of Aging at 410-887-2594.
