Michael Caputo, a former Trump campaign aide, said that special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has more knowledge about the Trump campaign than any staff member of the campaign, and has a plethora of documentation.
“They have all the documents that were produced,” Caputo told Fox News host Martha MacCallum Thursday evening. “They’ve got further documentation from people who worked outside the campaign — their emails, their texts. They have the entire campaign’s texts.”

“The Mueller investigation really wasn’t trying to find something,” Caputo added. “Every question they asked, they already have the answer to.”
Caputo was interviewed by Mueller on Wednesday.
“It doesn’t sound like” investigators have uncovered proof the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin during the 2016 election, Caputo said, although on Wednesday he told CNN that Mueller was fixated on Russian collusion.
The interview with Mueller came after Caputo excoriated the Senate Intelligence Committee during testimony for that panel’s Russia investigation on Tuesday.
In his closing remarks, Caputo told members of the panel, “God damn you to hell,” after explaining how the investigation “forced” his family out of their home and “crushed” his children due to mounting legal costs associated with the inquiry.
Mueller and the Senate Intelligence Committee are looking into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
Trump has repeatedly said there was no collusion with Russia and has called Mueller’s investigation a “witch hunt” on multiple occasions.
