WASHINGTON (AP) — The National Symphony Orchestra is presenting its annual Labor Day concert on the West Lawn of the Capitol.
The concert begins Sunday at 8 p.m. It’s free to the public, and gates to the Capitol grounds open at 3 p.m.
The symphony will perform patriotic classics as well as highlights from Stephen Flaherty’s “American River Suite” and “Casey at the Bat” with narration by actor Michael John Casey.
In case of bad weather, the concert will be moved to the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater.
