Donald Trump heaped criticism on TV reporter Katie Couric during a Tuesday night interview. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee said her role in a controversial gun documentary was par for the course for her reporting career.
“The Katie Couric piece is not that unusual,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Trump also tweeted late Tuesday, calling Couric a “third-rate reporter, who has been largely forgotten,” and ought to be “ashamed of herself for the fraudulent editing of her doc.”

His comments about the Yahoo global news anchor came hours after bashing political reporters collectively at a press conference for reports he alleged are biased against him.
“I’ll be honest. I’ve given interviews and I’ve said ‘wait a minute.’ They’re not covering you that way,” Trump said referring to himself.
The New York businessman said he has made a habit of bringing recording devices to interviews as a precautionary measure.
