One dead and 12 injured in two separate Texas nightclub shootings

At least one person is dead, and 12 are injured following a pair of nightclub shootings in Texas, early Saturday morning.

At around 1:30 a.m., officers with the Dallas Police Department arrived at Pryme Nightclub after a suspect opened fire on a crowd following an argument. Daisy Navarrete, 21, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, and seven others were injured during the incident. Their condition is unknown.

Law enforcement posted an image of the suspect, who has yet to be identified or apprehended.

Around three hours later, Houston Police Department personnel responded to a shooting at a separate nightclub. A total of five people were wounded, including one man who took a round to the neck, according to KPRC-TV. The shooting also reportedly stemmed from an argument inside the venue.

Law enforcement issued a tweet confirming the police response, and the department said all were transported to medical facilities.

Neither the Houston Police Department nor the Dallas Police Department responded to requests for more information from the Washington Examiner.
