Organizers of the first Ultimate Crab Soup Cook-Off have postponed the event because of the approach of Tropical Storm Hanna.
The event will be held Nov. 22 at the same location, the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, organizers said today.
The cook-off originally was part of the Maryland Seafood Festival, which was canceled this year for budgetary reasons, and hopes to raise $10,000 for local charities.
Hanna is expected to make landfall Saturday in South Carolina and could bring heavy rains and high winds to the region.
