White House social media director Dan Scavino Jr. berated London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Twitter over his response to the terror attack in England.
Scavino reminded Khan of a tweet he sent in May 2016, adding that the mayor needs to “WAKE UP!!!!”
“Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe,” Khan tweeted last year. “It risks alienating mainstream Muslims. London has proved him wrong.”
“It’s called not being ‘politically correct,'” Scavino responded at the time with a link to a story on the terrorist attacks since the November 2015 attack in Paris.
On Sunday, Scavino added: “@MayorofLondon- refer to below tweet 13 months ago, after you criticized … now President @realDonaldTrump — and WAKE UP!!!!”

Scavino is one of the first administration officials to publicly comment on the attack that left at least seven dead and dozens injured.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Homeland Security chief John Kelly and Trump’s national security adviser H.R. McMaster had yet to comment on the attack as of Sunday morning.
