From the Daily Caller‘s Alex Pappas:
Democratic Rep. Tom Perriello has been charged with a traffic violation following a car wreck in Virginia that left a 23-year-old woman injured.
Perriello, in the midst of a tough re-election fight, was charged by police with making an unsafe lane change, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
That report said Perriello was not hurt in the Sunday night incident. Police have ruled out alcohol or speed as a factor.

This isn’t good news for embattled Democrat Tom Perriello. The latest poll in the race between Perriello and Republican challenger Robert Hurt shows Hurt with a six-point lead. A recent SurveyUSA poll gave Hurt an 11-point lead, and Real Clear Politics says this race leans Republican. Perriello is fighting for reelection after winning in 2008 by the smallest margin of any victorious Democratic candidate.
