Joy Behar: Michael Bloomberg ‘probably compensates’ for short stature

ABC’s The View host Joy Behar praised former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg calling him “brilliant” and a “lovely guy.”

“He had the second hardest job in the country as mayor of New York,” the host said Friday on the show during a segment about Bloomberg potentially jumping into the 2020 Democratic primary. “I liked him very much. I thought he was brilliant. I’ve had dinner with him, he’s a lovely guy. He’s really smart, he cares about the country. He knows what he’s talking about. I believe that the country needs a new manager.”

Behar also defended the billionaire on the show after a host suggested the fact that he was short might be a bad look on the debate stage with President Trump. “The fact that he’s short, he probably compensates like other men,” she said before chuckling at her own comment.

Bloomberg is reportedly looking to jump in the 2020 Democratic primary to run as a moderate. The former mayor is willing to spend “whatever it takes” from his $52 billion fortune to win the race.
