Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren insisted Tuesday that her new book out this week, “This Fight Is Our Fight,” is not the start of her campaign for president in 2020.
“This is not what I’m doing. This is my 11th book,” she said when asked about a White House run. “My life’s work is about what’s happening to working families across this country.”

When asked if she was thinking about running, Warren said, “I am running … in 2018 for senator from Massachusetts.”
However, Warren hit some prominent Democratic talking points against President Trump during the interview, including warning him that people still want him to release his tax returns.
“The issue is not over,” she said. “He promised during the campaign he would reveal his taxes. The people are going to keep demanding it, and they’re going to keep demanding it and they’re going to make their voices heard.”
She said she’s hopeful the Democratic candidate wins in a special election in Georgia Tuesday night to replace Tom Price in the House. The amount of energy in the Democratic base is pointing toward a victory, she said.
“The real energy right now is on the Democratic side, and the independent side,” she said. “It’s people who say I want to make my voice heard.”
“People are getting engaged,” she said. “Democracy is no longer something that happens once every four years or once every two years … democracy is what’s happening out there all the time now.”
