President Trump is awarding professional golfer Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a ceremony in the White House’s Rose Garden.
The event is set to start at 6 p.m. Monday evening.
Trump announced Woods would be receiving the award shortly after he became the 2019 Masters Tournament champion last month.
Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!

Trump has already given the medal, one of the highest awards that can be given to an American citizen, to former Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah; baseball legend Babe Ruth, former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and Elvis Presley.
