Construction crews in Rosslyn removed the last of the debris from a Dec. 8 roof collapse at a Clarke Construction work site that injured 17 people, with two workers still in the hospital this weekend.

“We have not received any notice of the changing of status in the condition of the two folks,” Clarke spokeswoman Louise Pulizzi said.

The workers are in critical condition at George Washington University Hospital. Both were employees of Clark Concrete, a subsidiary of Clarke Construction.

Pulizzi said the company is providing assistance to the families of those injured in the collapse.

A 30-by-80-foot section of the roof of the Waterview Tower development collapsed about two hours after crews had poured concrete, which was still wet when the roof gave way.

Arlington County police closed streets around the site this weekend as workers removed debris.

Work resumed on the development Dec. 11. Inspectors from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are conducting an investigation of the collapse.
