MIAMI (AP) — A 3-year-old boy is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg during a domestic dispute at his home in northwest Miami-Dade County.
Miami television stations report an acquaintance of the child’s mother jumped a fenced and forced his way into the home on Sunday.
Authorities say a struggled ensued and the man took out a gun. At some point the gun fired and the child was hit in the leg. The man fled the scene.
The child was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is recovering.
Police are investigating.
