Filmmaker Michael Moore warned that Democrats are facing a November loss, as support for President Trump is “off the charts.”
“Are you ready for a Trump victory? Are you mentally prepared to be outsmarted by Trump again? Do you find comfort in your certainty that there is no way Trump can win? Are you content with the trust you’ve placed in the DNC to pull this off?” he wrote on Facebook on Friday.
“I’m warning you almost 10 weeks in advance. The enthusiasm level for the 60 million in Trump’s base is OFF THE CHARTS! For Joe, not so much,” warned Moore. “Don’t leave it to the Democrats to get rid of Trump. YOU have to get rid of Trump. WE have to wake up every day for the next 67 days and make sure each of us are going to get a hundred people out to vote. ACT NOW!” Moore continued.
On Sunday, Moore went on to look at polling data comparing how Biden stacks up against the president compared to how Hillary Clinton was doing in the same time period in 2016.
“In 2016, Hillary was way ahead of Trump. But this past week, in some swing states, Biden’s lead is LESS than what Hillary’s was. You can’t blame this one on the PO or Russia. This is on the candidate & the party. We are risking a tragedy of major proportions,” he wrote.
“Trump’s base is loyal, hateful, excited and they can’t wait to vote. Where’s the excitement for Biden?” he added.
Trump apparently took notice of the comments, tweeting Sunday, “Michael knows!!!”

The noted liberal filmmaker of Fahrenheit 9/11 fame issued a similar warning about Trump’s base and their enthusiasm back in June.
“Do not take Trump for granted. Don’t think he can’t win. Don’t get all cocky telling everyone there’s no way he’s winning the White House because, frankly, you sound a lot like yourself four years ago,” Moore said at the time.
Comedian Bill Maher also warned that he is “feeling nervous” about the election following the Republican National Convention last week.
“I am feeling less confident about this — maybe it’s just their convention bump got to me, but I’m feeling less confident than I was a month ago,” Maher said, adding, “I feel very nervous, the same way I did four years ago at this time.”
