Michael Steele won’t vote for Clinton or Trump

Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele said Friday he won’t vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, according to BuzzFeed.

“I will not be voting for Clinton,” Steele said in San Francisco Friday at a dinner celebrating the 40th anniversary of the progressive magazine Mother Jones. “I will not be voting for Trump either.”

The first black GOP chairman said the party’s current nominee has “captured that racist underbelly, that frustration, that angry underbelly of American life and gave voice to that.”

“I was damn near puking during the debates,” Steele said, arguing Trump represents only about 30 percent of the Republican Party.

Two other former Republican National Committee chairpersons, Marc Racicot and Mel Martinez, have also refused to support the party’s candidate.

The RNC’s current leader, Reince Priebus, is supporting Trump.
